Northeast Regional: Hampden Drops Opener

The state champion RH Foster Hampden American Legion team has lost its opening round game at the Northeast Regional in Massachusetts.

Last night's game vs Shrewsbury, MA was suspended in the second inning because of rain. Hampden trailed 6-1. The game resumed this morning and the Massachusetts team won 15-2.

Gavin Partridge had two hits for Hampden. Nick Lorenzo and Kolby Moore had the RBIs.

Matt Livingston led Shrewbury with six RBI.

Hampden play Connecticut this afternoon and will need a win to avoid elimination from the regional.
