Oceanside’s Norton Wins Athlete Of The Week

Michael Norton Jr of Oceanside High School with 60 percent of the total vote over Owen Richardson of Brunswick High School, Camille Kohtala of Orono High School, Wyatt Lord of Hampden Academy, and Kylie Donovan of Calais High School.

The senior from Oceanside had a game to remember in the Class C North quarterfinal game last Friday night.  Norton scored five times on the ground and tallied 267 yards rushing in the contest as the Mariners moved on to the next round of the playoffs with a 40-33 win over Hermon.  In addition to his five scores, Norton also took those touchdowns in on carries of 78, 54, 39, 23, and 17 yards.  Oceanside will face MDI in the semifinals this week.
