The Orono Red Riots upset the top-seed Hermon Hawks Wednesday night, punching their ticket to the Northern Maine finals against MDI.

Orono kept the potent Hermon offense -- including junior standout Keenan Marseille with only six points -- in check a on the way to a 52-41 win.

Jake Koffman led the Red Riots with 15 points. Jackson Coutts had 14 points and Nate Desisto had 10 points. Keen and Collette had nine points.

For Hermon, Kent Johnson and Isaac Varney each had 11 points.

Hermon finishes the season at 17-3.

Orono improves to 17-3 and will play the Trojans (also 17-3) in the second game of the afternoon session on Saturday, Feb. 25.
