[UPDATE: SHOOTING SUSPECT ARRESTED IN HOULTON >> GO TO STORY]

Four people have been shot in three northern Maine communities overnight, according to state police.

Police say they are looking for Anthony Lord, 35, of Crystal and Houlton in connection with today’s shootings in northern Maine.  Lord is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 263 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Lord is a registered sex offender. Troopers say they believe he has a stolen a pulp truck and are asking the public for help in locating either Lord or the truck. The pulp truck is a 2010 maroon Peterbilt with green lettering on the side saying “McCarthy.” The truck has Maine commercial plate 631745 and has an orange colored pulp boom.

The shootings took place in Lee, Benedicta and Silver Ridge. There is no word yet on the condition of the victims.

Police are now attempting to locate the Lord and the search at this hour is concentrated in the Lee area.  State Police have set up a command post at Lee Academy to coordinate the efforts.

As a result of the police search, Lincoln Public Safety says Route 6 in Lee will remain closed until the suspect is apprehended.

Anyone with info on Lord or the location of the truck is asked to call State Police in Bangor at 973-3700. Lord is considered armed and dangerous.
