Poll Ranks Eagles #5 In Region
Coming off its first NCAA playoff win season, the Husson Eagles football team has been selected as the #5 team in New England Division III for the upcoming season.
Noontime Sports.com is a New England based website that specializes in D-3 sports and their 'Early Preseason' regional poll puts the Eagles #5. Two other teams in the top-10 are on the Husson schedule (Western New England, Plymouth State).
The Eagles had a historic season a year ago, finishing 10-2 with an ECFC conference title and a NCAA playoff win over Springfield College. Husson lost in the second round of the NCAAs at Delaware Valley.
Springfield is ranked #1 in this year's regional preseason poll.
The 2018 Husson team reports to training camp this weekend. The season opener is at Union College (NY) on September 1st.
