After getting behind 21-7 in the first quarter, the Bangor Rams scored five unanswered touchdowns to beat their rival Brewer, 42-21, on opening night of high school football.

A big crowd at Cameron Stadium to watch the Rams and Witches play a countable regular season game for the first time since 2010. Brewer had won the previous four preseason game.

It looked like the Witches might win again after Kaleb Bryant scored two TDs and Logan Levansalor scored a TD as Brewer ran the ball at the Rams with success.

But the Bangor defense adjusted and never let Brewer score again.

Meanwhile, the Rams offense got scores from five different players.

QB Max Clark hit Keegan Cyr for a TD. Tim Craig scored on a 10 yard run. Jonny Lyon added a three run TD run. Cyr added another scored on a blocked field goal attempt when he picked up the ball behind the line scrimmage and ran it in. And Joey Morrison scored a 61 yard TD run to finish the deal.

Bangor travels to Lewiston for week two. Brewer will host Gardiner.
