A sold-out Gracie Theatre crowd in Bangor was thrown baseball story after baseball story from longtime Red Sox broadcaster Jerry Remy Tuesday night. It was the 6th annual Hot Stove Night from Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket and Townsquare Media.

After a meet and greet session where he signed autographs and posed for pictures, the 'Remdawg' took to the stage and had the crowd of 500 roaring with laughter with stories about Manny Ramirez, Ted Williams and others.

Remy did turn very serious at one point when he invited a fan from Dixfield, who like himself, is also battling cancer, on stage and gave her a big hug and a few words of encouragement.

He told the crowd he will cut down on the number of NESN Red Sox broadcasts he does but wants to stay on board for as long as his bosses will have him.
