Rossignol, Millan Set Career Highs In OT Win
UMaine's Blanca Millan and Parise Rossignol both scored career-high point totals Saturday afternoon and the Black Bears needed every one of them. In overtime, the Bears beat Brown University 102-96.
Millan scored 36 points and Rossignol had 25 as Maine makes it a five game winning streak and a 7-2 record.
It's the first time the Black Bears scored 100 points vs a Division One team since 1997.
Brown features former Bangor High School standout Mary Butler. She is a senior at the Rhode Island Ivy League school. Butler had 13 points and four rebounds.
At Hanover, NH, Dartmouth Men 78 UMaine 52: The Black Bear men's team could not make it two wins in a row, losing to the Big Green of Dartmouth.
Isaiah White led Maine with 18 points. Andrew Fleming added 10.
Dartmouth was led by Brendan Berry with 18.
UMaine drops to 1-9 and Big Green is now 5-5.
