Stadium Work Continues Despite No SLWS
The day after the stunning announcement that Little League Baseball was moving the Senior League World Series to South Carolina, the field work on Mansfield Stadium continued.
Groundskeepers Ron St. Pierre, Jimmy Owens and Barrett Dionne were working on getting the field ready for fall ball games.
Despite losing the SLWS there will be plenty need for care taking - there are about 200 games played at Mansfield Stadium each year.
Little League Baseball announced Friday afternoon that the SLWS would move from Bangor to Easley, South Carolina starting next summer, ending a 15 year run at Mansfield Stadium.
