For the second straight night brilliant goaltending and late game goals propel the UMaine Black Bears to a win. A 5-3 victory over Quinnipiac means a weekend sweep over the Bobcats.

It also means a five game unbeaten streak heading into the semester break. The Bears are now 8-7-1.

Freshman goalie Jeremy Swayman made 45 saves in this one. He made 50 saves in Friday night's win. Swayman is now 7-3-1 with a 2.58 GAA and a save percentage of .927%

The Black Bears held a 3-1 lead after two periods Saturday night when Quinnipiac's Tanner MacMaster scored twice to tie the game.

Then, with 24 seconds left, Maine's Patrick Shea scored the game winner. Cedric Lacroix added an empty netter to make the final score 5-3.

The Bears don't play again until December 29th.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Swayman will head to USA Junior Team training camp, trying to earn a spot of the U.S. team for the upcoming World Junior Tournament.
