When the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series race at Talladega resumes this afternoon in Alabama, Maine's Austin Theriault will be starting in the #34 position.

Just as stage one of the race (57 laps) was completed Sunday afternoon, it started raining and did not stop. The rest of the race begins today at 2pm.

Theriault is driving the #52 car for Rick Ware Racing and improved his position from #37 up to #34. He is the first car one lap down.
