Theriault Qualifies 33rd For Sunday Cup Race
Maine's Austin Theriault will 33rd in the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series race in Michigan on Sunday. It will be his third Cup Series race of his career.
Theriault turned a speed of 179.403 mph at Friday's pole qualifying.
Brad Kesolowski won the pole position with a speed of 190.471.
In Theriault's first Cup race at Loudon, he started the race in the 36th spot and finished the race in 35th place. A week later, he started 29th at Pocono and finished 34th place.
Theriaultand #52 Bangor Saving Bank car is one of two cars entered from the Rick Ware Racing team. The #53 RWR car is driven by Spencer Boyd.
The Michigan NASCAR team is Sunday afternoon at 3pm.
