UM Field Hockey Ranked #25 In Nation
The UMaine field hockey team will start the season ranked 25th in the nation in Division I. The Black Bears are one of three America East Conference teams in the preseason national ranking.FHCA
Stanford (AE-West) is tied for 15th in the poll. UAlbany AE-East) is ranked 21st.
UConn and North Carolina top the National Field Hockey Coaches Association poll.
Coach Josette Babineau and the Black Bears finished with a 12-6 record last year, sharing the regular season title. The Bears finished as the #25 team in the nation.
The season begins Friday with a non-conference home game vs Holy Cross.
