UMaine’s Shore Signs 2-Year Deal With Stars [VIDEO]
Former UMaine Black Bear Devin Shore signs a two-year, $4.6 million dollar deal to stay with the NHL Dallas Stars.
Shore had been a restricted free agent before the deal.
For the second straight year, Shore played in all 82 games for Dallas. He had 11 goals and 21 assists.
The 23-year-old center was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2012 NHL Draft (#61 overall pick).
Shore played for the Black Bears for three seasons (2012-2015). He played in 112 games, scoring 34 goals and handing out 70 assists. He signed with the Stars after his junior season.
NOTE: Shore will play for new Dallas head coach Jim Montgomery, the former UMaine captain who led UMaine to the first NCAA title in 1992-93. Montgomery left the University of Denver to take the Stars job. Former UMaine goalie Ben Bishop is the #1 goaltender for the Stars.
