Isaac Varney, Hermon HS: The senior forward for the Hawks picked up his 1000th career point in Saturday's win over Caribou. He finished with 18 points. Varney is averaging 18 points, 10 rebounds a game for the 11-2 Hawks.
Lauren Cook, Calais HS: The senior scored 23 points in a win over GSA as the Blue Devils improved to 11-0 in Class C North. Calais, Stearns and Southern Aroostook are the only three unbeaten teams in the North Region. Cook scored her 1000th point as a junior last season.
Nathan Richards, Dexter HS: The senior guard for the Tigers scored 22 points in a win over Mattanawcook Academy and another 16 against PCHS. The Tigers won three games during the week to improve to 13-0 in Class C North. Perhaps most impressive, Richards and the Tigers are allowing opponents just 33 points per game.
