Former UMaine quarterback and then assistant coach Bobby Wilder is out as head coach at Old Dominion University in Virginia after 13 seasons.

Wilder's team finished this season at 1-11 (0-8 Conference USA).

The former Madison High School standout left as UMaine assistant to re-started football at ODU, taking the program through FCS play and then into FBS. The Monarchs went 10-3 and played in a bowl game in 2016.

Wilder's overall record finishes at 77-56.
