The UMaine Black Bears and the Binghamton Bearcats play a three game series at Mahaney Diamond in Orono to wrap up the regular season.

Seeding for next week's America East Conference tomorrow is at stake.

GAME 1:  UMaine 4  Binghamton 1  Cody Laweryson pitched seven quality innings for the Black Bears to pick up his fifth win of the year. He allowed just one run, on seven hits, two walks and he struck out six.

Hernen Sardinas and Mike Sabatine led the Maine offense with three hits and a RBI each. Sardinas hit his 11th home run of the season in the first inning.

Cody Pasic and Joe Bramanti had the other RBI.

The win puts UMane at 11-10 in America East (15-30 overall). Binghamton is 10-9 and 21-22.

GAME 2:  Binghamton 2  UMaine 1  The Bearcats come back to win this one and earn a split.

Each team scored a run in the 3rd inning and then Binghamton scored the game winner in the top of the 7th inning. The Bearcats got a couple of singles, a wild pitch and an fielder's choice RBI.

Nick Silva was the tough luck loser for Maine, pitching all seven innings, allowing the two runs on four hits. He struck out seven.

Maine goes back to 11-11 in AE while Binghamton is  11-9 AE.

The third and final game of the series is Saturday morning at 11am.
