Bucksport High School lineman David Gross has won the Gaziano Award for Top Offensive Lineman in Maine. He receives a $5,000 scholarship with that award.

Gross beat out Jack Rogers from Thornton Academy and Riley Parmenter from Leavitt HS.

The Golden Bucks two-way lineman dominated the line on both sides of the ball as he led his team to a state title appearance.

Gross won the LTC trifecta - Offensive Lineman of the Year, Defensive Lineman of the Year and Player of the Year.

Nat Mars from Scarborough HS won the Gaziano Award for Defensive Lineman of the Year.

NOTE: The Gaziano Award was set up 10 years ago to honor the late Frank Gaziano who was an outstanding high school, college and pro player. He founded the National Distributors company in South Portland.
