UMaine goalie Jeremy Swayman made 31 saves and Eduards Tralmaks scored the game winning goal and the Black Bears knocked off Boston College 2-1 at Aflond Arena Friday night.

The victory moves Maine into a 5th place tie with Boston University in the Hockey East standings. The Bears are 9-8-4 in HE (13-14-4 overall).

Mitch Fossier scored Maine's first goal early in the game. Tralmaks got his in the second period.

BC got a powerplay goal in the third and made it interesting down the stretch but Swayman made some big stops.

The teams play again tonight at Alfond Arena.
