Bears Co-Champs With Albany, #2 Seed

UMaine and Albany will share the America East regular season championship for the second straight year. And, for the second straight year the Black Bears get the #2 seed and the Great Danes get the #1 seed because of a better RPI tiebreaker.

Both teams finished 15-1 in AE play. Albany's overall record is 24-4 while Maine's is 24-7. The NCAA RPI has Albany at #53 and Maine at #69.

That means the Black Bears take on #7 UNH Saturday in the conference quarterfinal round.

Friday, March, 11 – Highest Remaining Seed
Semifinal Winners - 4:30 p.m. – ESPNU

NOTE:  The UMaine men's basketball team is a #6 seed and will play at #3 Vermont on Wednesday in their AE quarterfinal.
