The UMaine hockey team stumbles out of the gate to start the second half of the season. The Black Bears suffer a sweep at Princeton, losing 7-3 Saturday night.

Princeton won Friday night 1-0.

Maine goalie Jeremy Swayman was pulled after the Tigers scored four goals in the first 15 minutes of the game. Rob McGovern came on in relief.

The Bears did get back in the game with two goals (Jack Quinlivan, Chase Pearson). It was 4-2 Princeton after one period.

The two teams swapped powerplay goals in the second period and then Princeton put it away with two goals in the third period.

The Black Bears limp home with a 5-9-2 record and will host Colorado College Wednesday night at Alfond Arena.

Princeton is now 6-8-2.
