Black Bears Play Home Opener
After playing in Boston, Texas and Connecticut, the UMaine men's basketball team gets to play at home today.
Coach Bob Walsh and his Black Bears host Boston University at 2pm at the Cross Center in Bangor and someone is going to get their first win of the season.
Maine is off to an 0-4 start while BU is 0-3.
These two programs have played over 100 times dating back to the early 1900s but not much since the Terriers moved out of America East Conference and into the Patriot League.
While the Black Bears have struggled to get wins in recent years, coach Bob Walsh in 3-0 in home openers at Maine.
It is right back out on the road for the Bears after today's game - at Quinnipiac, Georgetown and Fordham.
