Quinnipiac's Craig Martin scored 1:15 into overtime and the Bobcats escaped from Orono with a win in what turned out to be a classic weekend series of college hockey.

After beating the #3 ranked Bobcats in OT Friday night, the UMaine Black Bears looked like they might do it again.

The Bears got behind 2-0 before Blaine Byron scored a second period goal and Nolan Vesey tied it with a third period goal.

Black Bear goalie Rob McGovern made 30 saves to help push the game into overtime.

The loss is Maine's first of the young season. The Bears are now 3-1 and hit the road next weekend to play Miami of Ohio.

Quinnipiac is now 2-1-1.
