2018 Miss Maine Basketball Award winner Kolleen Bouchard began her college basketball career at Division II Bentley College Friday night. It began with the Falcons beating Concordia (NY) 94-56.

Bouchard played her high school ball at Houlton High School, has been battling a back injury all fall. At one point, shutting down all basketball activities and then rehabbing.

She played 18 minutes in the opener, scoring five points, seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

Former Thornton Academy standout Victoria Lux scored 15 points for Bentley. Lux begins her sernior year at the Massachusetts college.

Bentley is the preseason pick to win the Northeast 10 Conference and is ranked #11 in the national NCAA Division II poll.

NOTES:  The Bentley men's basketball team begins play today. That team includes former Hampden Academy standout Zach Gilpin and Hodgdon's Chris Hudson...2018 Mr. Maine Basketball Award winner, Terion Moss, is off to a good start with the UMaine Black Bears, scoring 21 points in the first two games.
