The Bucksport Golden Bucks are heading to the Class D North title game next week after besting Mattanawcook Academy 49-6 in the semifinal match-up on Friday night.

Chase Carmichael threw for 180 yards through the air, completing 12 of 20 passes with three touchdowns.  He also rushed for a score and completed a two-point conversion for the Bucks in the fourth quarter.  Carter Tolmansoff served as the primary running back for Bucksport on the evening, taking the place of Lucas Wardwell, and rushed for three touchdowns with 130 yards, and also caught six passes for 98 yards and caught a TD pass.

Dominic Libbey was 4-14 passing for 82 yards and threw two interceptions.  He also led the team in rushing with 68 yards.  Diondre Duffy scored the lone touchdown for the Lynx on a run.

Bucksport scored on both of their drives to start the game on a Carmichael rush and a passing touchdown to Keigan Riccard.  Mattanawcook would answer back with he Duffy TD, but the Bucks would not allow another point until the end of the game.  Tolmansoff completed the second half with three rushing scores after catching a TD in the first half.

The Golden Bucks now move on to the Class D North final next week versus Foxcroft Academy who picked up a 40-0 victory over Dexter on Friday.  The Lynx end their season with a 6-4 record after the loss.
