Bucksport’s Tripp Claims Athlete Of The Week Honors

Bucksport's Mikayla Tripp earns Athlete of the Week honors with 46 percent of the vote.

The senior threw two no-hitters and a two-hitter last week as the Golden Bucks improved to 10-1 in Class C North.

Tripp fired a 10-0 no-hitter over Mattanawcook Academy, striking out 17 and did not walk a batter. She had a five inning no-hitter against Searsport with 10 strikeouts and she added a two-hit complete game win over Orono.

Tripp added 10 RBI as a hitter during the week.
