Catamounts Sweep Bears [VIDEO]

The Vermont Catamounts scored two first period goals and went on to beat UMaine 5-1 Saturday night. The Black Bears season is over after the UVM sweep of the Hockey East first round series 2-0.

The Black Bears got back into the game with a Rob Michel powerplay game in the second period to make it 2-1 but UVM scored the next two goals to put the game away.

UMaine finishes 11-21-4 and never won a road game a year.

UVM moves on to the next round of the Hockey East playoffs with a 20-11-5 record.
