The Husson Eagles begin play this fall in the Commonwealth Coast Conference and coaches think the 'new kid on the block' will be the third best team in the league.

The CCC preseason poll released today puts two-time defending champion Western New England as the top team again and Endicott College is picked to finish second.

Then new head coach Nat Clark and his Eagles are picked as #3.

Husson dominated the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) and league games are expected to be tougher in the new conference.

The Eagles lost a non-conference game to Western New England 31-28 last season.

NOTE: Husson and UNE meet in the final game of the season on November 16th...The Eagles opener is September 14th at UMass Dartmouth.
