The Charlie’s Maine Open is set to begin Tuesday at the Augusta Country Club.

It's the seventh consecutive year the two-day, 36-hole tournament will take place in Augusta.

There's no cut for professionals. The 20 lowest scores among amateurs will advance to round two.

One hundred and eight players are registered for this year's event.

Last year's winner, JD Dornes of Lancaster, PA, will tee off at 7:40 a.m. as part of a group that also includes Jerry DiPhilippo of Gorham and Jeff Seavey of Homosassa, FL.

Two-time defending Maine Amateur Golf Tournament champion Jack Wyman will tee off at 8:30 a.m., while 13-time Maine Am champion Mark Plummer will begin at 8 a.m.

The event kicks off Monday with a pro-am tournament.
