HS Tennis Regionals: GSA Knocks Off Orono

The George Stevens Academy girls tennis team knocked off unbeaten Orono to win the Class C North Region championship. The Eagles beat the Red Riots 4-1.

Lindsay Nevin,Julianna Allen and Tatianna Heggestad won singles matches. Chloe Politte and Yvonne Rogers scored a doubles match win.

It is the 5th regional title for GSA in the last 11 years.

Class A Boys:  Lewiston def Brunswick 3-2

Class A Girls:  Brunswick def Lewiston 3-2

Class B Boys: Camden Hills def Waterville 4-1

Class B Girls:  Caribou def Camden Hills 4-1

NOTE: The state championship matches in team tennis take place Saturday at Colby College in Waterville.
