College Roundup: Bears, Eagles Get Swept

The Castleton Spartans captured the #1 seed in next week's NAC Playoffs with a doubleheader sweep of the Husson Eagles Saturday afternoon, 6-1 and 2-1.

Husson Baseball: With the twinbill loss, the Eagles fall to 13-9 NAC while the Spartans improve to 19-3.

Husson Softball: In the battle of the top two teams in the NAC, a Saturday split of two games. Eagles lost the first one 1-0 and came back to win game two 3-1. Husson is 9-1 in the conference while Castleton is 10-2.

UMaine Baseball:  The Black Bears got swept at Stony Brook, 6-3 and 4-3. UMaine falls to 3-8 in America East play, 11-22 overall. The two teams play one more game tomorrow in New York

UMaine Softball: A battle of the top two teams in America East and the Binghamton Bearcuts get UMaine twice, 6-3 and 5-1. With more game to play tomorrow, it's tight at the top of the standings, Binghamton is 10-2 AE while Maine is 10-3.
