It's official now. The NHL has etched the 52 names from last year's Chicago Blackhawks on the Stanley Cup, including former UMaine goalie Scott Darling.

Darling was the backup to Corey Crawford and while he did not play in the finals, Darling was a big factor in wins early playoff rounds that got the Blackhawks to the finals.

Darling ( Bottom row, second name from left) joins Dustin Penner, Jimmy Howard, coach John Tortorella and coach Red Gendron as Stanley Cup champs with the UMaine connection.

Chicago raises their championship banner on October 7th. Darling is a virtual lock to be the #2 goalie this year.
