Dugas Medalist In First Tourney Of Fall

The Husson Eagles started the golf season playing in Lexington, Kentucky and senior Gavin Dugas was medalist at the Transylvania University Invitational.

The Eagles teams finished in 8th place out of 17 teams competing in the three round tournament. That field of 17 included four teams ranked in the preseason Top-25 national Division III poll.

Duguas fired rounds of 70, 72 and 68 to finish 6-under par. He led a group of only seven golfers finishing under par.

NOTE: The defending North Atlantic Conference champion Eagles will host the 44th MEIGA Championship at Bangor Municipal GC next weekend. The tournament features all of the Maine college golf teams.
