A little monkey business Friday night didn't interfere with the Edward Little Red Eddies' quest for their first win of the season against the Bangor Rams.

The incident happened in the third quarter during a Rams' passing play as Bangor tried to stage a comeback against the Red Eddies. A fan dressed as a gorilla ran out onto the field and disrupted play.

The act resulted in a 15-yard personal foul penalty against Edward Little and a first down for the visiting Rams.

To add insult to injury, the "gorilla" took a hit from one of the Red Eddies players and then tried to take cover in the Edward Little student section.

Despite the penalty, Edward Little came away with 18-8 win.

You can see the gorilla at about 1:54:50 mark in the video above, or you can check it out in the Tweet below from WMTW's Joe Bailey.
