The Bangor Rams got a 37 point performance from senior Matt Fleming to take down the Cheverus Stags 78-60 Friday afternoon at Red Barry Gymnasium.

The victory put the Rams at 6-0 and in the top spot in Class AA North.

After an even first quarter, the Rams outscored the Stags 23-10 in the second quarter and kept them at arm's length the rest of the game.

Fleming hit on four three-pointers in that second quarter. Damien Vance added 11 points in that quarter.

The Rams made 12 three-pointers as a team. Fleming had seven.

Patrick Foster scored 12 for the Stags who fall to 4-3.

NOTE: The Bangor girls team beat Cheverus in Portland Friday 49-47. The Rams improve to 3-3.
