The Fort Kent Warriors hit the court running, jumping out to an early lead on the Central Aroostook and fending off any attempts by the Panthers to close the gap in Tuesday's quarterfinal in Bangor.

When the buzzer sounded, the Warriors came away with a 66-45 win and a ticket to the Class C North semifinals.

It was a familiar story for the Panthers, who -- like in their two regular season meetings with the Warriors -- fell behind early and were unable to make up the difference against the bigger Fort Kent team.

It was a balanced attack from the Warriors. Junior Camden Jandreau led the team with 17 points. Senior Jacob Daigle had 16 points in the win and junior Caleb Deslisle added 14 points.

For Central Aroostook (13-6), sophomore  Hayden Kingsbury 14 points junior Ben Thomas had 10 points.

Fort Kent (15-4) will play its semifinal game at 8:35 p.m. on Friday at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.
