Four Up For HS Athlete Of The Week [VOTE]
It’s time for you to help us decide again who should be the winner of this week’s McDonald’s High School Athlete of the Week. We have our fourth vote of the winter sports season, and you can choose between four different athletes.
Peyton Grant of the Dexter girl's basketball team help her side to a 2-0 mark this past week and 9-1 record overall. Grant logged points in a 35-19 victory versus Penquis, and then dropped a game high 28 against Mattanawcook for another win. On the season the Tigers enter Monday's play at the #2 spot in Class C.
Zach Hartsgrove of Nokomis had a milestone week for himself as he not only hit 20 points in a victory versus Mt Blue, but also achieved the 1,000 point mark for his high school career. The Warriors entered play on Monday with a 5-5 record.
Kaci Alley continues to pile up points for the Narraguagus team in Class C. Alley scored 31 points in two efforts versus Shead and Jonesport-Beals as the Knights moved their record on the season to 9-1 overall.
Connor Robertson of Orono help guided the Red Riots to some success this past week and a 2-1 record. Robertson scored a combined total of 63 points the three games this past week as his team moved to 4-5 on the season and a big rivalry victory against Old Town.
