GBO: Defending Champ Shoots 1-Under [SCORES]

Defending champion Jason Thresher is among a dozen golfers to shoot under par on day one of the 52nd Greater Bangor Open Golf Tournament.

Thresher, a Connecticut pro, had a three birdie/two bogey round and finished 1-under par.

2016 champ Jesse Larson from Vermont is also 1-under.

That score puts them three shots behind the round one leader Geno Giancola, a Connecticut pro.

Veteran GBO player John Elliott is among a group of golfers at 3-under par, tied for second place.
