High School Football Kicks Off On 92.9 The Ticket

The sound of thumping pads will be heard around the state tonight as a brand new high school football season kicks off with 35 games on tonight's schedule.The Bangor Rams have a new head coach in Alan Mosca and will face the Edward Little Red Eddies at Cameron. Bangor is coming off a 6-4 season that ended in the class A semifinals. Mosca's team returns several starters including running back Dane Johnson and quarterback Jeff Lewis. The defense lacks significant experience but will be anchored by senior linebacker Ben Crichton.

Edward Little will try to improve on their 1-7 season last year and will have a young team with only a few players returning that have much experience. Offensively they will provide a challenge for the Rams as they incorporate a no-huddle spread offense with multiple receivers. Matt Verrill returns at quarterback with Drew Lashua serving as his main target.
