High School Golf Title Day

College and high school golf championships are up for grabs this weekend. At the Samoset course in Rockland it's the North Atlantic Conference Championship. The Husson Eagles are 7-time defending champion and a favorite to win again.

The Eagles have had four team members win a weekly conference golfer-of-the-week award during the season. Bill Hutchins, Lance Bernier, Porter Gervais and Greg Pike.

Teams will play 36 holes over two days of competition. The NAC conference champ moves on to NCAA competition in the spring.

At Natanis GC in Vassalboro, high school golf teams from around the state compete for team championships. Next Saturday, many of the golfers will return to compete for the state high school individual golf title.

Gorham, York and St. Dom's are defending team champions in Classes A, B and C.
