HS Hoops: Bangor At Brewer Preview
The Bangor vs Brewer boys and girls basketball games are back on the schedule tonight after last night's postponement.
The boys game is at Brewer High School. The girls game at Red Barry Gym at Bangor.
Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket and 929theticket.com has live coverage of the boys game at 7pm.
(2-0) Class A Brewer Witches: Coach Ben Goodwin's team owns wins over Nokomis and Messalonskee. The Witches don't have a lot of size and the coach wants to see how his squad matches up against a team with more height. Brewer is scoring about 50 PPG and giving up about 46. Brandon Glidden and Kobe Rogerson have led the Witches in scoring through two games.
(1-1) Class AA Bangor Rams: Coach Carl Parker's team beat up Lewiston on opening night and then lost by 10 to highly skilled Windham last Friday night. Newcomer Matt Fleming is averaging 27 PPG to lead the Rams. As a team, Bangor is scoring about 72 points per game and allowing about 60.
