HS Hoops: Ellsworth Stops Old Town [SCORES]

Ellsworth High School senior Jackson Curtis pumped in 29 points and hauled down double-digit rebounds as the Eagles beat the Old Town Coyotes 67-55 Saturday afternoon in Class B North action.

The win bumps Ellsworth to 5-2 while the Coyotes fall to 4-4.

The Eagles led 14-12 after one quarter and then it was Curtis vs Old Town's Michael Brown in an entertaining second quarter. Curtis scored 14 points and Brown scored eight and the Ellsworth lead  was three at the half.

The Coyotes got into early foul trouble in the second half and the Eagles outscored them 35-26 over the final two quarters.

Brown led the Old Town with 21 points.
