The UMaine hockey season comes to an end with a 2-1 loss at Northeastern Saturday night. The Huskies finish the best-of-three series with a two game sweep.

The Black Bears finish the season at 15-17-4.

This one was a rough, tough Maine-Northeastern matchup with 55 penalty minutes. The Bears were whistled for 39 of those penalty minutes.

Each team scored one powerplay goal. The Huskies PP score turned out to be the game winner.

Jacob Schmidt-Svejstrup scored the lone goal for Maine in the second period.

The Huskies blocked another 26 shots in front of goalie Cayden Primeau. He stopped 33 Maine shots.

Jeremy Sway made 15 saves for the Black Bears.
