Maine Falls To #2 Florida

Three errors and a lack of hitting led to a 5-0 loss for the UMaine baseball team against the Florida Gators who are ranked #2 in the nation.The Gators got off to a quick start against freshman pitcher Justin Courtney who allowed 4 runs on 5 hits and 4 walks in three innings of work. Jacob Deschesnes pitched the final 5 innings and allowed only one more run on 3 hits.

The Bears offense managed just 6 hits in the game with Luke Morrill having the only multiple hit game with 2.

Scott Heath will get the start in game two of the three game weekend series today.
