Maine’s Johnson Signs UDFA Deal With Eagles
Former University of Maine center Bruce Johnson has signed a contract with Philadelphia Eagles, according a release by UMaine.
Johnson, who signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Eagles, was a three year starter with the Black Bears and failed to miss a snap on the field during that time. He had drawn significant interest from scouts at Maine’s Pro Day and was thought to have a shot to be drafted in the later rounds. Johnson was also a two-time All-CAA first team selection during his career at Maine.
Johnson becomes the 56th Maine football player all-time to sign a playing contract with a NFL team.
