#1 Sports Story: The Caribou Vikings boys basketball team knocked off defending state champ Hermon to win the Class B regional title and then beat Falmouth in overtime to claim their first state title in 50 years. The 1969 Mike Thurston half-court shot game was the last one until the VIkes did it in 2019.

#2 Sports Story: Camden Hills senior Kristina Kelly was named National Player of the Year by United Soccer Coaches. Kelly scored 59 goals as her Windjammers won a third straight Class A state championship.

#3 Sports Story: The UMaine field hockey team was at the center of national attention when the Black Bears game vs Temple at the Kent State field was ended in a scoreless tie because fireworks needed to be fired off for the Kent State football game.

The president of that school issued an apology and the matter started a nationwide debate on Title XI issues.
