MDI Defeats Belfast To Advance To North B Semifinals [BOYS]

In a frenetic, back-and-forth Class B North contest, the MDI Trojans advanced to the semifinals after defeating the Belfast Lions at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor Friday evening.

The No. 2 Trojans (16-3) finally were able slow the game down late in the fourth quarter to protect their lead on their way to a 45-35 win over the No. 7 Lions.

Senior forward Graham Good led the Trojans with 13 points. Junior guard Andrew Phelps added 8 points.

Senior Zane Bielienberg had 18 points for the Lions.

Belfast finishes the season at 10-10.

MDI will play the No. 3 Central Red Devils in the semifinal round on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
