Two former UMaine Black Bears hockey players had their NHL season come to a dramatic and sudden end last night in the NHL Playoffs.

Jim Montgomery is the first year coach of the Dallas Stars and Ben Bishop is the Stars goalie. Their team lost to the St. Louis Blues, 2-1, in double-overtime in game seven of the series.

Talk about heartbreak.

Bishop is getting rave reviews for his 52 save performance that came up a little short.

He spoke with reporters.
