
Old Town Beats Bapst, Gets Closer To Top Spot
The defending state champions in Class B baseball, the Old Town Coyotes get a little closer to the #1 spot in the North Region with a 5-2 win over John Bapst.

Old Town is now 12-3 and in 3rd place in the Heal Points. The Coyotes trail #1 ranked Hermon by seven points and #2 ranked Erskine by four points. Both the Hawks and Eagles have completed their regular season with 13-3 records.
Old Town has one game left - at #6 MDI Thursday afternoon. A win over the Trojans just might give them enough Heal Points to move into first place.
John Bapst finishes the season at 4-12.
Meanwhile, the Old Town HS softball team scored a 10-1 win over John Bapst to improve to 13-2, The Coyotes will host MDI Thursday afternoon in the season finale. A win could put the softball in first place.
