Rams Score Late, Beat Broncos 3-2

For the second time in the last nine days, the Bangor baseball team beats Hampden by a 3-2 score. Friday night at Mansfield Stadium, the Rams scored an unearned run late to win their 11th game of the season.

A great pitching matchup between Bangor's NIck Cowperthwaite and Hampden's Casey Sudbeck. The game was completed in 85 minutes.

With the scored tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 6th, a Cowperthwaite infield chopper resulted in a bashit and then a throwing error got him to second base. He stole third base with two out. And then another infield error on a ground ball hit by Zac Ireland resulted in the game winning run.

The Rams improve to 11-1 and the Broncos drop to 9-4.
